No, I do not think that the system should place higher priorities on the rights of victims as I think the accused and the victim both should get equal rights to prove their stand as until unless it is proven, no one is a criminal. Thus the accused person cannot be considered as a criminal just because someone has filed a case against him, the other person must prove his points in order to make him a victim. I think there are already some rights reserved for the victims in our constitution such as the right of allocution which allows a victim to speak his words when the accused is being sentenced.
